Foster Farmstead began in 2021 with a simple goal: to raise good food, live a healthier life, and share that with the people around us. We started selling at the Farmers Market, and that experience connected us even more deeply to Chillicothe. We got to know our neighbors, heard what families were looking for, and saw how much people here care about where their food comes from and how it is made.
The more conversations we had, the more we realized our community needed a place where wholesome foods, thoughtfully sourced products, and healthier everyday options were easier to find. That is what led us to open Foster Farmstead Marketplace in early summer 2026. We wanted to create something that felt like it belonged here, a place built for Chillicothe by people who love Chillicothe and want to see our local community continue to grow and thrive.
"We wanted to make good food and healthier choices easier to find right here at home."
Food Shouldn't Be Complicated
Better ingredients start with better questions.

02.
Thoughtful Sourcing
Products from farmers and producers who care how things are raised and made.
03.
Know The Story
We value knowing where our food comes from and who made it.
Because "Healthy" shouldn't just be a word on a package. It should mean something.
rooted in our community
"Local" isn't a marketing term for us. It's home.
We love introducing our customers to local farmers, bakers, makers, and small businesses doing great work close to home. Every local producer on our shelves represents more than something to buy… it’s represents a family, a craft, or a business worth supporting.
When you shop local, more of your purchase stays close to home. You help small businesses grow. And you help create the kind of community where good things can continue to be made locally.
